Pigmentation

The brown spots you are seeing are melanin. Melanin production is your body's way to protect your skin cells from the sun. When you're in the sun, your brain tells a special gland to send out a helpful enzyme called Tyrosinase. This enzyme helps your skin cells to produce melanin to act like tiny hats, keeping your skin safe from the sun's harmful rays. Pigmentation can also be hormonally induced. Either way lightening agents and Tyrosinase inhibitors are the key to improving this condition.
