FRAXEL DUAL

How Fraxel Dual Works

Fraxel Dual works by creating thousands of microscopic treatment zones within the skin. Think of it like controlled micro-injuries that signal your skin to wake up and start repairing itself.

As the skin moves into repair mode, growth factors rush to the area and your wound healing response switches on. This stimulates collagen and elastin production, helping rebuild stronger, healthier skin from the inside out.

Rather than removing the entire surface of the skin, Fraxel treats tiny fractions at a time while leaving surrounding tissue untouched. This allows the skin to heal faster while still delivering significant skin revision.

Fraxel Dual uses two wavelengths that work at different depths:

✔️ 1550nm → Works deeper in the skin to improve:
• Fine lines and wrinkles
• Acne and surgical scarring
• Skin texture and enlarged pores
• Crepey or ageing skin

✔️ 1927nm → Works closer to the surface to improve:
• Sun damage
• Pigmentation and sunspots
• Uneven skin tone
• Dull skin

Together, these two wavelengths allow us to treat both the surface changes you see and the deeper structural changes happening underneath.

Results don't happen overnight. Your skin continues laying down new collagen and remodelling itself for weeks and months after treatment, which is why improvements continue to build over time.

What Happens During the Procedure?

The treatment begins with cleansing and numbing cream to keep you comfortable. The laser is then passed over your skin in precise passes, creating microscopic treatment zones.

You may feel a warm, prickly sensation — like tiny sparks — but most clients describe it as very tolerable. The whole procedure usually takes 20–45 minutes, depending on the area treated.

You’ll leave with redness (like a sunburn) and slight swelling, which usually settles in a couple of days.

What we can treat?

  • Fine lines and wrinkles

  • Uneven tone and texture

  • Sun damage and pigmentation

  • Acne scars and surgical scars

  • Large pores

  • Dull or ageing skin

HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL i NEED?

  • Results are progressive, and most people see visible improvements after 1 treatment, but a series of 3–5 sessions (spaced 4–6 weeks apart) is recommended for best results, especially for deeper wrinkles or scarring.

  • Stay hydrated – Avoid blood-thinning medications and alcohol for 48 hours.

  • No Recent Skin Treatments – Avoid chemical peels, micro-needling, or other resurfacing treatments at least 2 weeks before your laser session.

  • Come with clean skin – No makeup, lotion, or skincare products on the area being treated.
